CSR Policy – Challa Group

1. Preamble
At Challa Group, we believe that true growth is inclusive and sustainable. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is embedded in our values and business practices. This CSR Policy outlines our commitment to contribute to society, as mandated under Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 and the Companies (CSR Policy) Rules, 2014, including subsequent amendments.
2. CSR Vision
To contribute towards the sustainable development of society and the environment, while fulfilling our business responsibilities ethically and transparently.
3. CSR Objectives
To proactively support communities in areas of need.
To undertake CSR activities as listed under Schedule VII of the Companies Act.
To create a positive and measurable impact through our initiatives.
To align CSR efforts with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), wherever feasible.
4. CSR Committee
The CSR Committee of the Board at Challa Group consists of:
Chairperson: Challa Prasad, Managing Director
Member: S. Murthy Raju, Associate
The committee is responsible for formulating, implementing, and monitoring CSR activities in line with the policy and applicable laws.
5. CSR Budget
As per the law, Challa Group shall allocate at least 2% of the average net profits of the last three financial years towards CSR activities annually.
6. CSR Focus Areas
Challa Group will prioritize the following areas for its CSR activities:
Education
Promote quality education, digital literacy, scholarships, and school infrastructure.
Healthcare
Organize medical camps, provide support for sanitation and hygiene, maternal and child health.
Environment
Tree plantation, water conservation, waste management, renewable energy support.
Livelihood & Skill Development
Training programs, vocational education, entrepreneurship promotion.
Women Empowerment
Support for self-help groups (SHGs), health and education for women and girls.
Rural Development
Infrastructure improvement in villages, clean drinking water, and housing.
7. Implementation Process
CSR initiatives will be implemented directly by Challa Group or through registered NGOs, trusts, societies, or Section 8 companies eligible under the CSR Rules.
Projects will be selected based on needs assessments and strategic alignment.
Partnerships with government bodies and community organizations will be encouraged.
8. Monitoring and Evaluation
The CSR Committee will monitor the implementation of projects, fund utilization, and outcomes.
A structured reporting and evaluation mechanism will be followed.
An Annual CSR Report will be included in the Board’s Report, as required under the Act.

10. Amendments
The CSR Policy may be revised or amended based on recommendations of the CSR Committee or due to changes in the applicable laws.
